- WHY PLASTICYCLE?
A great number of products are made from plastics: products around the house such as food and drink
containers and bottles, grocery and garbage bags, plastic utensils and toys. Plastic is also found in furniture,
appliances, computers and transportation.
As the use of plastics continues to increase, they have added to the growing environmental problem of disposing
plastic waste properly. Plastic waste does not biodegrade if the ideal conditions are not available. As a result, the
only viable solution is to recycle them.
- So why do we need to recycle plastic?
Recycling plastic waste reduces the amount of energy and reliance on natural resources (water and
petroleum) needed to create virgin plastic.
Recycling plastics saves landfill space, reduces greenhouse gas emissions and allows plastic wastes to
be reused in manufacturing new products.
For the sake of our environment and future generation, everybody can participate in a green recycling
programme of our plastic waste both at home and in our workplace.
